Gnidrolog is the diety of the unspoken land, that rezides in the lock lamore. Whom iwth its twin sister Camus protects the realm of dream and nightmare, Khan with its chariot protects the land from the wild beasts and Procol Harum is the sleeping protector of the sacred realm of mist.

There is only one lord and savior and his name is Jesus Christ....and it doesn't matter the religion.

Otherwise the made-up god of prog might be: Mel O'Tron

Roger Waters, but he'd be the self-appointed god.

Friede and I once were at a Peter Hammill concert where one guy in the audience wore a t-shirt saying "Peter Hammill is God"

^Amen. If Prog was a religion it's not the sinners who would be stoned and the Devil wouldn't have all the best tunes

If "prog" was religion, "ressive rock" would be God. Shouldn't we all worship some rocks with strange names?

^ I can't be the only one who pictures that album cover as what it will be like after you enter the Gates of Paradise and are welcomed by the Holy Trinity of Prog. If God is Love, and the afterlife's a beach, then heaven is Love Beach.*
In Heaven, perhaps tight pants are required as they decrease fertility because it's getting overcrowded with chubby baby angels. Pygar (to Barbarella): "An angel doesn't make love, an angel is love." And thanks, JD. I have incurred the wrath when reviving very old topics before, hopefully this doesn't lead to me falling even further from grace. * terrible album, though. Kind of like heaven and hell all rolled into one.

No,no,no...Love Beach, as all good ELP fans know, is pure HELL ! It's the Dark Lord's way, present a pretty package on the outside, then damn them all ! 'Climb on my rocket and we'll fly' indeed. I had to laugh when I saw this pop up and realized it's a thread from 11 years ago. Way to bring it back Logan.

Just saw this topic being looked at in Active Users, and since this immediately came to mind (well right after Fripp if it was one person):
ELP as the Holy Trinity of Progressive Rock acts. Basically Love Beach is Heaven... Or Hell depending on one's perspective.
