The Champions poll with the second largest number of votes so far (splitting the second position with the 90s poll) after the 70s one!
King Crimson edged out Porcupine Tree but there is still some days to go until the RAC Finals' line-up is set, so PT have a real chance to reach them! I would be pretty happy to see both albums there. |

I picked FoaBP but I would have chosen De-Loused by Mars Volta if that was an alternative

I guess The Power to Believe, but I would rather have seen some other albums here that I like better.

So it is King Crimson who take the win and go to the finals with 2003's 'The Power to Believe'! Prog on!

And someone effed up this poll by casting the tenth vote for Crimson. ![]() I am joking, of course, but I was just going to register 'Fear of a Blank Planet' as the winner. In this case, however, we will have to wait for another vote - just one single vote for either Porcupine Tree or King Crimson could decide this! Let's see who is going to win! |

Porcupine Tree take the lead on this poll, with King Crimson and IQ closely behind. Very interesting results so far in the second phase of Random Album Clashes!

Voted for the least popular Porcupine Tree album on the list (Lightbulb Sun). The Moon Safari is a great album as well.

Actually my own view on this one is a bit schizophrenic, because Fear of a Blank Planet in my view is number four out of the PT albums in the poll and the only one that I find clearly inferior to Power to Believe. So now I'm not necessarily backing PT in this one. If it was Deadwing or In Absentia competing with KC, it'd be a different story. Lightbulb Sun by the way is a fine album as well and deserves a vote at least.

They have pretty much won this conclusively, having 18 votes (even if split between albums), which is more than any other artist in this poll. The albums the votes are split between are not that different from each other, so it reasonable to assume that if only one of them were present in the poll, the majority of those 18 votes would have gone to that one album - utterly trouncing the nearest contender, King Crimson. |

If Porcupine Tree doesn't win this one it's because they won too many years.

Obviously the three Porcupine Tree records are absolutely phenomenal and are probably the best records here, but I can't NOT vote for Moon Safari—they're just so f**king good.

In Absentia will always be a personal favourite. Some really good ones here and three that I'm not into at all.
