Third and final RAC for this week - 2014.
For me, it is Cosmograf, followed by Opeth, Transatlantic and Snarky.

Not a great selection.

Zorn.

Wow! This is, uh, a surprising selection for 2014. While I never really expect to see all or any of my favourite albums from any year in these polls, there is usually more or a correlation between my tastes and these selections. There are actually some quite good albums in this list, but none really stand out to me to the point that I want to vote for them. I’ll think about this, and come back to it. There are a few contenders....

Well, it is not a necessarily great year for [prog] music either. However, Opeth, Cosmograf and Snarky Puppy (as I already mentioned them) do stand out! If I were to recommend any 3 albums from the 15 featured here, it would be these.

I somehow missed Logos. That’s a terrific album, so I’ll give that my vote.

Pink Floyd - The Endless River. Superb ambient album. Followed closely by Primus.

In The Endless River of polls, I nearly always vote for Pink Floyd (or Rick Wakeman) in these Random Album Clashes. Smile

I'm also like Haken, Opeth, and Primus's albums.

Gong, I was very pleasantly surprised by this one.

My top 3 on the year were

Poil - Brossaklitt
Knifeworld - The Unraveling
Led Bib - The People In Your Neighborhood

I'll go for the Endless River - mostly a bunch of leftover fragments from the Division Bell sessions, but it does contain one truly great song in 'Louder Than Words' - the only piece they bothered to add vocals to and finish properly.
