Well seeing as two of the finest albums of all time were released in 1972, i.e. CTTE & TAAB - it's a no-brainer for me.

72 from 73 and 71.However my favourite year for music overall would be 71,a year so good it got it's own book by David Hepworth.

Have to go with 1972: CttE / Foxtrot / ObC / Trilogy / Thick as a Brick, particularly considering the Living In the Past album was also released in 1972.

Hard not to go for 1972. 73 has my favourite album BSS but generally I prefer 74 and 75 of which the latter gives 1972 a good run for its money imo.

Tough one, For me 1969 & 1970 fall a little short but 1971- 1974 are all very strong. I went with 1971.

Great albums in all these years, but the best for me is '73 - all five stars (which is not the case for any of the other years).

The world was created in 1969, as far as I'm concerned. God bless the omnipotent KC.
