    Posted: December 28 2020 at 06:54
H to He, Who Am the Only One who doesn't like the Pawn Hearts album? Yes, that would be me then, and that's no Godbluff, as it appears I'm the only one here who doesn't like Pawn Hearts. We may disagree on our prog favourites, but The Least We Can Do is Wave to Each Other out of politeness. ProgArchives is absolutely Vital for prog lovers and proves that there's Still Life in prog at Present in 2020, and nothing can ALTer that fact. Prog-Rock might not set any World Records for album sales, but A Grounding in Numbers of members here at PA reveals that prog still has a decent following, whichever angle of the Trisector you look at it from. Who cares what the jaded music press thinks about prog. Their views Do Not Disturb me at all. Smile

Finally, a chance to choose your Top 7 Van der Graaf Generator albums. Simply list your VDGG albums in order of preference below and then I'll assign the usual system of points to your listings:-

1st album - 12 points
2nd album - 8 points
3rd album - 6 points
4th album - 4 points
5th album - 3 points
6th album - 2 points
7th album - 1 point

Here's my Top 7 to get the poll underway:-

1. The Least We Can Do is Wave to Each Other (12 points)
2. H to He, Who Am the Only One (8 points)
3. The Aerosol Grey Machine (6 points)
4. Godbluff (4 points)
5. Still Life (3 points)
6. World Record (2 points)
7. The Quiet Zone/The Pleasure Dome (1 point)

It's not absolutely Vital that you rank studio albums only. Smile

I'm gonna rank three demos, 3 bootlegs and 1 album.
Is that ok?

too much randomness...

If you want to vote for the live Vital album you can do, but I wouldn't bother to be honest, as it's a dreadful album in my opinion. Thumbs Down

No, I included it in my list simply because I mentioned the album in the intro, although it wasn't Vital to include it. Smile

Anyway, you can vote whenever you're ready, and then I'll add your points onto the totals. Embarrassed
