With their tongues, they test-taste and judge all that is mine
They move in a series of caresses that glide up and down my spine
A curse upon the heads of those who seek their fortunes in a lie. The truth is always waiting when there's nothing left to try. - Colin Henson, Jade Warrior (Now)

Yes it's great now you're a full time nurse
But do be careful with the air-raids getting worse
When I finally marched from Sandhurst
I'd learned to put my fellow man first

I'm sure they do, but popular is popular, even in the land of prog.
Plus you can't help what lyrics pop into your head at any given time. Whether it's prog or pop.
I assumed by, "the first prog lyrics that pop into your mind" portion of the question, it was assumed that it happens randomly.

I don't think to myself, "Ok, I'm going to think about one of the most popular prog songs now. Here I go!"

Here's one....

The rusted gates before him yield
He enters slowly, winding down
The people know their end has come
Behold the one who brings the fire...

In the city's waning lights
He draws his sword above his head
The people know their end has come
A darkness spreads across the land
I am not a Robot, I'm a FREE MAN!!

A breakfast table, musty smells, a time when honor meant much more to a man than... gold?

It's not all coming to me perfectly.
Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

Tager du kaffe med syrlige drops?
Svæver du højt på din tiende sal, imens Rowena går tur med sin mops?

"We will never give up, never give in; wherever these roads gonna lead us..." (Royal Hunt - Never Give Up)

Actually these lyrics have jumped from my media player, via my 2.1 speakers, through my ears, into my head.
Wink

Edit: I've learned that it is "this road's gonna lead us". I had always thought it was "these roads (are) gonna lead us".

"Don't you deny, denial is the first step of yielding
Your past and future's an illusion
The truth that you can grasp lies in the moment" (from Celestial Asylum's prospective album)

These lyrics had been written in Turkish, by my "spiritualist" bandmate; translated (to English) and polished by a materialist: me. Honestly, I find it pretentious and laughable when one "claims" that s/he knows reality better than anyone else. I'm just begging to be forgiven as just having acted like the "messenger" of my bandmate. LOL

Google tells you that, as well lol. I double checked the actual LP on my shelf to be sure! LOL
