^ Humour on Ancient Rome: Plebs; great show. Especially the first 2 seasons. Recommended. (Though, I watched its first 3 seasons long ago, so not "recent" at all. I've yet to watch its other seasons.)

Just finished 2nd. season of Undercover:

Wonderful Belgian series, of an undercover cop in the ecstasy mob. Beautiful landscapes, two beautiful ladies and a beating plot.

I liked best the 1st. season but only because of the tone, for me both are top-notch.
Netflix.

Inhuman Resources featuring former (great!) soccer player Eric Cantona:

French series; found it very enjoyable. Only 6 chapters on Netflix.

Justo Antes de Cristo (Just Before Christ):

Spanish series; an absurd / Monty Python-esque (not that much) take on Imperial Rome, relating the whereabouts of a disgraced noble, Manio Sempronio, on Thrace with general Cneo Valerio Acquila. Loved it. Laughed a lot! Saw it on Movistar.

Treadstone -  Bourne diaspora that shows the beginnings of the secret behavior modification program Jason Bourne emerged from.   Not horrible but bromidic, often drags, and is crammed with filler.

Just finished Okkupert (Occupied). Was an excellent series but left way too many loose ends. Its a Norwegian/French produced series about an EU backed Russian occupation of Norway, who had ceased oil production in the wake of severe global climate crisis.

Billions -Final Season
disappointing ending , did they really intend to throw it away like that. Peaked around season 3 as is often the case with many things.

Legion Season 3
A weaker offering than the first two seasons IMHO.
Like Star Trek Discovery, it seems to have had less than stellar  writing.

Six Feet Under
My wife was bugging me to watch this series for the last year or so.
Very enjoyable, although by season 4 it was getting a little heavy.
5 seasons was certainly enough but I would recommend it if you have never seen it.

I just finished watching the entire two seasons of Why Planes Crash on YouTube, even though most of the episodes are listed erroneously on YouTube as Air Crash Investigation. Wacko

Season 4 of Fargo. It's OK, but in my opinion the weakest of the 4 series so far.

Deadwater Fall     - Grim small-town intrigue, well produced.  Not bad, not great.

The Crown  Season 3    - Nice to see Josh O'Connor (The Durrells in Corfu) enhancing this ever-changing series and continue to emerge as a wonderful young actor.

The Days & Nights of Molly Dodd     Now here's a treat from the past with Blair Brown as a quirky 1980s New Yorker who is fascinated by off-beat people but can't seem to meet the right man.   Unusual, even eccentric, for a network show at that time.   Think Annie Hall meets Crossing Delancey.

The Bachelorette     Always hated this show, still do.  But this season is too hard to ignore as the original 'lady' left soon after the season began and had to be replaced by a stronger and more interesting woman.   Oh yeah, I went there.

The Queen's Gambit.

Not a fan of chess, but I've liked everything that Anya Taylor-Joy has ever been in.

I just finished The Queen's Gambit too.  Quite an enjoyable show that honestly I didn't want to end.  It was a very pleasant surprise as I went into it not expecting much, yet it ends up being one of the best this year I believe.

I watched His Dark Materials last year and finished season 1 but I haven't started watching season 2 yet.  I'm trying to catch up on a few others, but it's good to hear it's still enjoyable.

I found the two documentary series about the Nixium cult quite fascinating ("The Vow" and "Seduced").  They both lend a lot of insight into how people can get brainwashed into thinking strange beliefs and odd behavior can be "normal" in their eyes.  It's quite shocking what people can get bluffed into.  The great thing about both of these shows is that there is a ton of inside video since "Vangard" (Keith Ranier) wanted to record everything.
