I like both very much, but I adore Atom Heart Mother (especially for the suite). It's my favourite Floyd album and I like Pink Floyd much more generally than Yes.

Like them both too, so it's difficult to make a choice. I guess PF's Atom Heart Mother has some more musical originality in it but on some days I prefer to listen to Time and a Word. With the pistol on my head I think I would choose AHM...

Atom Heart Mother. Yes was still on their way to maturity.

Just for the record I was almost going to do it as time and a word and going for the one vs atom heart mother and animals. I suppose PF would still win with that though.

Overall, I prefer Time and a Word, but the Atom Heart Mother suite is easily the best piece on both albums.

Despite being a massive and obvious YES fan boi, I give this one to PF.
Yes didn't become the kings until Fragile IMHO!

Well considering that AHM is my favourite Floyd album, I'd have to say that one, even over Yes.

Both for me. I'm a huge Yes fan but AHM is maybe my second favorite PF album(after WYWH)so it kind of balances out.
