When you have a proggy-sounding surname like Dave Greenslade has, then it's only natural to name the band after yourself. Smile

How much more prog can you get than a hero in an ancient Mesopotamian epic poem? Gilgamesh.

Not a huge fan of this lot either. I'll vote for Museo Rosenbach

I have a soft spot for Museo Rosenbach.
But Gryphon and Magma are also great, very fitting names.

None of these IMO is all that great.

Who are the same band anyway. Cherry Five was a made up band name for Goblin's first Album
that was shelved for a few years.

Gryphon and Nektar. Also two of my favourites. I'll vote for Gryphon because it is cooler.

Goblin (or better said members of the band, it' s not clear and I don't know why) used the band name Il Reale Impero Britannico to score a movie called Perche Si Uccidono (1976). They scored the Suspiria OST in 1977 under the Goblin name.
