Back with a Totally Random poll!

Its the top of my random listening yesterday--shuffled about 14000 tracks. Its been several months since I did this. I'm trying a shorter list now.

Multiple is NOT on, so make your single favorite selection from the list.  Mention any runner-up in the comments if you want (or whatever comments about liking/disliking any of the tracks).

Had to go with The Northern Lights (love Renaissance).  My runner-up is probably Men at Work, (as I used to be a huge fan back in the day).  Jethro Tull and New Trolls sound great, but I haven't listened to the albums that much. Still, I like all these tracks.

BTW, all but Men at Work are listed on Progarchives, though the Bela Fleck track/album is just some great traditional folk/bluegrass.

Went with Men At Work.  I was just listening to Who Could It Be Now? and Be Good Johnny last week one day.  All 5 were good songs.  I have a number of Bela Fleck albums, but not that one. I'm not a fan of the bluegrass style of music.  I hadn't heard the New Trolls' song before.  That was very classical sounding.  I enjoyed that.  For some reason, Renaissance's Northern Lights brought to mind Rick Wakeman's Journey to the Center of the Universe.  Something to do with the phrasing or something.  When it comes to Tull, I tend to prefer their hits.  This song is OK, but they definitely have much better.

They're not.  This is a Totally Random post from my digital music collection (see my comments above). Most of the collection is prog rock or related, though, so when I've done the random shuffles in the past, theres always at least half prog or prog related on there. But I also have siginficant amounts of folk, classical, jazz, and other genres.

You might argue, however, that Men at Work could be prog related, as they have their sort of proggy moments..  Especially on the Cargo, album.

Im quite surprised that it popped up, though, because I don't currently even have a Men At Work album--just this one track! (that I downloaded for a radio show I did with the theme of "Talk"). So, the chances of it being on the list are roughly 1 in 14000!

I can't really choose between Tull and Renaissance.  LOVE both tracks.  Went with Renaissance because they are Renaissance
