He-Man "Snake Mountain Theme".  This one I love..  it played everytime a panoramic of the Snake Mountain showed before passing to the bad guys machinations (I would love to find a video that showed just that, but this one sounds great! I absolutely love this kind of stark incidental music!). Hmm, I think this one could well creep into nomination…  Evil Smile LOL   (Recommend to play the video and scroll down to watch the image while listening to the music).

Here's the image:

Lance Link...  oh hell yeah!! Dragon Woman.. and Cross Eyed Lion... both in the same thread.

Life is good

and that was a acid trip of a video man. ThanksBeer

I do prefer the other Utopia theme one (my original pick from Utopia 2 -- the second series/season). I think that might just be the title theme to season one posted above. It had been a few years since I watched both Utopia series.

Heart loved that one.. shame you don't play with us more often. You have excellent tastes. Great choice.. that is a strong contender.. ie I'll be checking this out again to see if it might work its way into the top 3.

I've never seen the series ... I really enjoyed both but the first you posted is probably sitting at #1 right now.. the 2nd. in contention with the one I just listened to .. but probably bumped by whichever Mike has chosen or will choose for my 3rd vote.

One I've set the voting options..  to be honest.. I have no idea which ones half you want to be the option.. I'll do a listen for the vote.

I also love the Barney Miller theme for it's cool jazziness and the great bass run.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get your last video to play (not available in my country).

as if you couldn't outdo yourself further..  never had heard that. Though I loved the Soprano's theme, and the original song which I never did post.. I had never really explored the group further.

steel pedal and banjo get me every single time.. loved that. Thanks for sharing that Beer

This one is by a band included on PA, New Trolls. The song - titled "Black Hand" - was released in 1972 only as a single, and appeared as the opening theme of a mini-series called Petrosino, about an Italian-American policeman who fought the Mafia in turn-of-the-20th-century New York:

The next one is almost legendary. Though musically the song is not exactly my cup of tea, the TV based on one of my favourite book series - the cycle of the Tigers of Malaysia (I pirati della Malesia) by Emilio Salgari. If you love adventure fiction, these books (also written at the turn of the 20th century) are highly recommended. The TV series is named after the books' hero, the pirate prince Sandokan - interpreted by Kabir Bedi, a very charismatic Indian actor who also appeared in a James Bond movie:

And then, last but not least, something not from Italy, but from Brazil - the theme song of the first Brazilian telenovela shown on Italian TV, back in the late 1970s. La schiava Isaura (Escrava Isaura) was based on a novel that was for the cause of the abolition of slavery in Brazil what Uncle Tom's Cabin was for the same cause in the US. The song, titled "Retirantes", was written by Brazilian singer Dorival Caymmi together with famous author Jorge Amado. This is the original version, with lyrics in some African language:

re: Black Hand..  the New Trolls ruled musically.. but should have stayed instrumental. LOL

of the two.. Sandokan is the one I really liked ... maybe you should choose that one.

Cool theme song by Patrick Carney of the Black Keys featuring his uncle Ralph on sax. Posting the full version of the theme song. It usually runs about a minute at the beginning of the show.

oh wow.. never had heard that either..  a contender if you choose to go with it. Really really cool and enjoyed that one a bunch. Beer

I want the first one I posted at the start of page two to be my Utopia choice (from season/ series 2). This "Lucidity Gone" one is the one I wish to nominate, which you might want to list as Utopia 2:

A number of great music from HBO shows I missed out from not having HBO---Sopranos, Leftovers, Boardwalk Empire, Band of Brothers.

I know the Sopranos intro because it was so iconic and played, but from the Simpsons as well.

I'll stand with my first choice, although Monster is my favourite anime, it kept me on my toes for 74 episodes.

There are some posts I'd like to discuss but I'm freaking tired of looking at the screen right now :/
