Same is also those "Floyd-fans"..."WYWH and Animals are masterpieces but DSOTM sucks". My fav Magma is their first, but really couldn´t ever deny greatness of MDK. Üdü Wüdü is not my big favorites, but really can also understand in that people who love it. |
I've noticed that also with a lot of Floyd fans on here, they seem to like WYWH and Animals more than Dark Side.

Nothing wrong liking more those albums, but that disrespect talking about DSOTM is ridiculous.

I didn't know K.A, Köhntarkösz and Emëhntëhtt-Ré are also a trilogy!
The Theusz Hamtaahk trilogy was released in its entirety on the 2001 live album, but many people prefer other versions of the three parts. What are your favourite versions? |
I think studio versions are the best in Wurdah & MDK (although live versions from that THT-box are really great too). Hard to say about the first part because they have never recorded it as studio, but maybe it´s the first recording from BBC (released in AKT-series in 1998, BBC 1974 Londres).
Yes, they´re trilogy too, you can read something about the story in them here:

Last week I listened to MDK studio recording and TH from Retrospektïw, and I actually thought TH was better, while MDK used to be my favourite. I haven't listened to MDK from the Theusz Hamtaahk Trilogie and TH from BBC 1974 Londres in a while.
Thanks for the Wikipedia link. The Magma mythology is epic! I would love to know the entire story, but on the other hand all the guessing and the mystery that surrounds it makes it maybe even better.

In my youth (around age 20) I parodied Hitler speeches to make fun of
them with sentences like "We will errrradicate them, we will destrrrroy
them, we will mince-meat them, we will make
potato salad of them". A few years later I learned that some people
apparently did not get it and took me for a Nazi, which could not be
further from the truth.

No. I haven´t got any information, what´s behind their latest releases, Felicite Thösz, Sl*g Tanz and Zess, only that Zess is also old composition.

What is the meaning of the title Mekanïk Destruktïẁ Kommandöh? The most literal translation would be Mechanic Destroyer Commando. But Mekanik could also mean motion. And Kommandöh could mean squad ("destroyer squad" makes senses) but also order/command.

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Wurdah and 1001 awesome stuff
|
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.
