Your favorite ten 1980s Genesis studio songs from that decade. Yes I know, we’re not supposed to like that stuff here!
Mine, in rough order of preference, as well as in nearly chronological order... Misunderstanding Turn it on Again Dodo/Lurker Abacab Man on the Corner Paperlate That’s All Tonight Tonight Tonight Land of Confusion Do the Neurotic I had to stretch a bit to come up with #10 here, which was the b-side to “In Too Deep” in the UK. I was first introduced to Genesis with their 80s stuff. With the exception of a few songs, it wasn't until many years later that I discovered everything pre-Abacab. I've come to like their more poppy stuff less over the years. I think my list mostly reflects that even when talking about their 80s output I prefer the songs that were less likely to be on the radio, or at the very least harkened back (even if in only a small way) to their prog roots. Turn It On Again Abacab Dodo/Lurker Mama Tonight, Tonight, Tonight Silver Rainbow (highly underrated song in their catalog) Home By The Sea Second Home By The Sea The Brazilian

The ones I really love are Behind the Lines -Turn It On Again - Abacab - Dodo/Lurker - That's All (!) The rest can be filled up by anything not yet listed from the Duke album, which by far has the highest "base level"; not really a fan of what happened later. |

I entirely agree with this. Wait... no, I'd include Domino and Fading Lights. And maybe Driving the Last Spike.
