One forum member suggested I should have included a separate entry for québecois artists from Canada in the prog world cup competition i'm running.

I thought this was an interesting idea which didn't occurred to me at the time I set up the entire competition, so this poll should make up for that omission.

While I LOVE the four Harmonium albums, and really enjoy the musics of Sloche, Pollen, Opus 5, and especially Conventum, I’m voting for Maneige. Their music is just more fulfilling to me.

Other - the one and only MiriodorHeart. Not familiar with some of the others, but Maneige are indeed excellent, and I also have a lot of time for Voivod.

Hard to vote among these great bands. Harmonium takes my vote though, for their excellent discography, but this is a close one.

Morse Code is my choice, but it's tough call with Harmonium in there.

That was moi Wink, though you didn't get the message... I thought it was more fittingto have a Québécois band to represent Canada, rather than Rush, who stopped being prog in 81. TongueLOL

^ That, my friend, would have gotten me in some serious trouble among Rushheads

Much as I do like much of that list, I will give an "other" vote to Dionne-Brégent.

For my ‘other’ it would be L'Orchestre Sympathique. From the list I voted Sloche because I love them and they were without a vote, though my head says Maneige were the greatest / most original among those named.

Sad to see brilliant bands like Opus 5 and Conventum voteless too. It was such a rich scene! We owe a great debt of gratitude to ProgQuebec for making so much of this stuff available, I feel.

L'Orchestre Sympathique is fantastic!

I was thinking about not voting other, and would have voted for Sloche too. I love J'un oeil especially, and love the others you mentioned. The Québec music scene is incroyable.

Eden, Pollen and Harmonium equally.

Harmonium, closely followed by Morse Code.
Two wonderful bands.
