a very obscure band that is not in the archives is B for Bang, a side project of classical pianist Katia Labeque, one half of a famous classical piano duo (the other half is her sister Marielle).

Katia often makes excursions into other territory, mostly jazz-rock; she has played with John McLaughlin (the two actually were a couple for some time), Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock.

B for Bang is of a different nature though. the band made two albums, "Across the Universe of Languages" in 2007 and "Rewires the Beatles" in 2011. as the album titles suggest the band likes to toy with Beatles tracks. however, this is not just some Beatles tribute band; the songs are totally deconstructed and rebuilt in new fashion, and on the first album half of the tracks are own compositions.

and now, without further ado, here are the two albums with track lists:

01) Ouverture 0:29
02) Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite 3:06
03) Interlude 1 1:00
04) Helter Skelter 3:41
05) Golden Slumbers 3:12
06) I Want You (feat. Katell Keineg) 3:59
07) Reminiscence 2:51
08) Happiness Is a Warm Gun (feat. Nadeah) 4:02
09) Julia 4:09
10) Interlude 2 0:23
11) Between Those Rocks 3:29
12) Interlude 3 0:19
13) Blackbird 4:20
14) Come Together 2:47
15) Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds (feat. Meg) 2:39
16) Notes to the Future (feat. Patti Smith) 2:39
17) The Last Man On Earth 6:52
18) One More Song (feat. Daniel Day Lewis) 4:21

1. Tomorrow Never Knows 03:32
2. I Am the Walrus 02:51
3. Girl 03:53
4. While My Guitar Gently Weeps 06:06
5. Something 03:50
6. Glass Onion 03:42
7. Dear Prudence 06:26
8. Because 03:11
9. Get Back 03:12
10. I, Me, Mine 02:13
11. Why Don't We Do It In the Road 03:07
12. When I'm Sixty-Four 02:13

I am amazed noone has mentioned Oresund Space Collective. I havw a couple of their albums on vinyl and very impressive they are. Elements of Pink Floyd, a bit more trance though.

ØSU are not as obscure as a few other bands. They do have an entry in the Archive. 27 studio/live albums over the course of a decade!

Another obscure female fronted European band, this one is Lenore S Fingers, a doom metal band from Italy but they are also pretty progressive. Here is a track from their 2014 album Inner Tales. Fans of Anathema will likely appreciate their music - this particular track has a nice build up and some excellent guitar work. Also check out their latest album just released All Things Lost on Earth, very good.
