The Red Masque - Lynnette Shelley (vocals and percussion). an undeservedly very little known band that should get a lot more acclaim. they are one of the very few bands I like that started this century, in fact my favorite one in this regard

Ryoko Ono (sax, flute, keyboards, vocals, etc) is a solo Zeuhl / avant artist who is also half of Sax Ruins and has played with Acid Mothers Temple among others.

OK, how about Claire Hammill?....not prog as a solo artist here on PA but was a member of Wishbone Ash for a short time in the early 80s and sang on The Steve Howe Album and also sang backing vocals on the Jon and Vangelis album The Friends of Mr Cairo.

Maybe she should be put forward as a solo on PA......listen to a couple of her solo pieces below:
