I think I have them all except for Talk, the Keys volumes and Open Your Eyes (too difficult / expensive, to get vinyl versions, if they exist ??) So here goes with the others, discounting the Live albums of course :
1 - Topographic 2 - Drama 3 - Relayer 4 - Fragile 5 - CTTE 6 - Magnification 7 - Fly From Here 8 - The Yes Album 9 - GFTO 10 - Tormato 11 - Time And A Word 12 - Yes 13 - Heaven And Earth (!) 14 - The Ladder 15 - Union 16 - 90125 17 - ABWH ( if you could class it as a YES album ??) 18 - Big Generator |

Welcome! And, I almost agree with you - except I would put 'Tormato' at the absolute bottom of the list... |

1. Toby's Graphic Go-cart (quite simply genius)
2. Close to the Edge. (Brilliant, except for Siberian Khatru) 3. Going for the One (Awaken!) 4. Relayer (Gates of Delirium! - other two tracks are very poor) 5. Fragile (Heart of the Sunrise!) 6. The Yes Album (this would be higher as later versions of Starship Trooper are as good as it gets) 7. Drama .. 100 - Tormato and I've not heard any of the others for ten years so i'm not placing them in any order!!! I have better stuff to listen to!

1) Close to the Edge
2) The Yes Album 3) Fragile 4) Going for the One 5) Relayer 6) Tales from Topographic Oceans 7) 90125 8) Tormato 9) Magnification 10) Drama 11) Yes 12)Time and a Word 13) Big Generator 14) Fly from Here 15) The Ladder 16) Union 17) Talk 18) Open Your Eyes 19) Heaven and Earth No live albums, compilations, box sets or AWBH - despite many having new studio stuff. The later ones are changeable depending on my mood at the time. Keys Studio would probably come in around 11 or so. ABWH would hit around 15. Edited by Squonk19 - April 11 2018 at 00:52 |

I'm sure that you could build up a kind of unique symphonic prog profile (for each prog-archive member) from the results of this thread. I am quite sure that I haven't heard a lot of (if at all) of the albums beyond 90125 - I do know that Tormato must surely be the poorest follow up album of all time - how did Yes go from "Going for the One" - to the truly god-awful following output - unless they were just told to output another album under publishers orders.....Drama is a definite improvement - But 90125 - just isn't a yes album - it's an abomination!

Been playing Yes again lately for the first time in years and I’m not enjoying fragile or close as much now. Relayer was never great for me either. The Yes album always will be their masterpiece. Time and a word has improved to second if I include Dear Father

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Some people just post lists to be controversial , this gets the thread a buzzin - Nobody would REALLY put 90125 in the top three yes albums!
