Very sad news.  Damn, suddenly ELP is down to Palmer. RIP and may the Gods too bask in the sound of his magnificent voice.

Even Cozy Powell from ELPowell is dead.

We are running out of musical heroes.

The only musicians relates to ELP alive are Palmer and Robert Berry (3)

I don't know whether it's in the genes or whatnot, but I believe Palmer's lifestyle didn't follow the usual excessive pitfalls associated with success and the Rock Industry. But then Keith's livelihood, passion and reason was hindered by permanent nerve damage. I can understand why Emmo did what he did. Greg enjoyed his life to the full. Bless him.
Those who think Love Beach is a 'dog' of an album, should focus on Greg's singing. Some of, if not the, best vocal performance from the great man. And his bass tone and playing on ITCOTCK, Pictures At An Exhibition and Tarkus is unmatched.

I guess he did a very good job at Love Beach... perhaps he did sing better than on most ELP albums... but there is no way I would consider his singing there better than Epitaph, Court of the Crimson King, and Poseidon. Epitaph in particular is one of my favourite vocal performances in rock.

Hard to believe this day has come so soon.  It's interesting to do a day limited search on "Greg Lake" on youtube and see all the tributes, a few of which are coming from kids younger than 18.

Yeah - Epitaph. Guess I'll be selecting my In The Court LP to spin this afternoon. It's been a while........

His vocal performances on the first King Crimson album had such a huge impact on me;  I wish he hadn't jumped ship so soon, from KC and from this mortal coil.  RIP

The local newspaper here in Cleveland, OH didn't even have an obituary for Keith. They had one, written by a staff writer, for Greg.
