Not at all. If you could just squeeze Topographic Oceans, Big Generator, Tormato, Union, Time And Word, Yes and Key Studio in there as well - that would make a good top 10. |

Don't think I did this yet . . . my order might very well be a bit different every time I'd make this list--and after all, I'd rate every one of these a 10/10, but a ranked order for me would be roughly something like this:
This will surely be one of the more unusual rankings in the thread: Tormato Relayer Drama Going for the One Tales from Topographic Oceans Close to the Edge Fragile Big Generator The Yes Album Talk Union Anderson, Wakeman, Bruford & Howe (I consider that a Yes album) Time and a Word Yes Magnification Open Your Eyes The Ladder 90125 Keystudio Fly from Here Heaven and Earth Edited by Terrapin Station - December 22 2016 at 15:49 |

ABWH has to be a Yes album. Otherwise they could not have had a union.

sh*t man, this is difficult
you see, every yes album holds a special place in my heart. Tales from topographical oceans is nice, but makes for better background music rather than intense listening. I'm not too familiar with union, but I do like "Lift me up" Magnification made better use of the orchestra than Time and a word, but I love both I haven't spent much time listening to the first yes album and keys, but I'm sure they're great I actually forgot about big generator when writing the list, but I think it ties with "Talk". love the violins at the beginning of "love will find a way" Tomato has at least two great tracks in my opinion, "Don't kill the whale" and "madrigal", the rest is OK. I also love "Homeworld" from the ladder, but the other songs on that album are a bit too weird for my taste Trying to pick favourites is hard, I love all my babies Heaven and earth sucks though. 1. Fragile
3. Close to the edge 5. Relayer I'm not a big fan of Yes. To me, Fragile is the only diamond by them.

Not the biggest fan but hey still a great band. I'm getting old and Close has taken back the top spot just ahead of Relayer.
1. Close To The Edge (8/10) - title track is a 10/10 of course
2. Relayer (8/10) - kind of perfect but it does occasionally make my ears bleed - and not always in a good way. 3. Fragile (7,5/10) - eh...its just a typical 7.5/10 4. Tales From Topographic Oceans (6,5/10) I think I can understand why Yes-worshippers love this one the most, but I'm not among them. 5. The Yes Album (6,5/10) Its mostly nice 6. Drama (6,5/10) and so it this 7. Going For The One (5/10) for me "close but no cigar" 8. Time And A Word (5/10) does no harm 9. Tormato (3/10) does harm |

^ its really top ten and lists though - and lists may very well include a top three. + this is about best to worst. I made a best to worst out of the nine albums I know fairly well.

Well, it's a prog forum. Here everything is possible as long as it is legal. Here there are tops of less than ten albums, and the ones of more than ten albums. I like one album, and it is progressive, and it is by Yes. I mean, this is progressive rock - freedom of expression is what makes this style of music great...

Nor do I understand the disdain for it. I've always liked it.
