If you are a Soft Machine fan, like me you are in for a treat.

This is Soft Machine's appearance on BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Recorded September 1st, 1970 and broadcasted October 6th, 1970 on BBC Radio 3.

The experimental electronic version of "Eamonn Andrews" is out of this world. Well worth your investigation. Apart from numerous alternative performances, there are great interviews with the band members expressing opinions on Workshop's electronic devices.

Wow. Very cool. I can’t get enough of “Third” era Soft Machine.

Very interesting. Mike did end up using the VCS 3 on Seven and Bundles.   Still love his Lowrey though.

Same! Love that album by bits.

And the VCS 3 helped him electrify the minimalist motif (originally from the beginning of "Out-Bloody-Rageous") on "The French Lesson" from Seven. Smile
