In chronological order:

Tank (gotta love their adaption of the 'basso continuo' there!)
and that's where it gets tough...
A Time And A Place Still... You Turn Me On Living Sin
Never heard Paper Blood before.

I'd rank them in the order you have them listed/in chronological order actually: Tank A Time and a Place Living Sin Still...You Turn Me On Paper Blood
That's just a quirk though. With many other selections, my order wouldn't be in chronological order at all.

Not really fond of this selection. "Paper Blood" is the only one I like, actually. Oh yeah, and "A Time and a Place" is very enjoyable also, perhaps I like it better than "Paper Blood", but I'm talking about the 90's live version from "Then & Now"... in this case the somewhat changed voice from Lake seems to suit the song better, and the overall sort of heavier 90's sound makes it more enjoyable for me.

A Time And A Place (classic ELP) Living Sin (really weird lyrics but otherwise brilliant) Paper Blood (great organ work by the maestro) Tank (disjointed but interesting , I prefer the Works version myself) Still...You Turn Me On (dodgy lyrics but nicely produced)

Tank (just love it - so close to Canterbury...) (great live version on 'Nassau Colosseum') A Time and a Place (on the overlooked side 2 of 'Tarkus') Living Sin Paper Blood Still..you turn me on (works better solo on 'Welcome Back...)

I always thought it sounded Zappaesque.

Well, there you go - Dave Stewart was inspired by Emerson and Zappa parodied ELP on 'Roxy and Elsewhere'...

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.
