Hi folks,

I developed a little program that automatically exports all your reviews/ratings in text files and your avatar image on your computer. I called it the "PA Review Exporter". The functioning is very simple:

- Fetch your reviewer ID from your reviewer page (the ID is the last number)

For example, my reviewer page is http://www.progarchives.com/Collaborators.asp?id=11816

=> my reviewer ID is 11816

- Enter your reviewer ID in the interface

- Click on "EXPORT"

-> The program will automatically:

   * Export every review/rating in a specific text file per album

   * Export all your reviews/ratings in a single general file "_ALL_REVIEWS.txt"

   * Export your avatar image in file "_AVATAR.jpg"

You can get the last version, 1.0, for Windows, here (right-click, save as...):

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/uploads/11816/PAReviewExporter.jpg

* Rename "PAReviewExporter.jpg" to "PAReviewExporter.zip",

* Be sure to unzip the file first,

* Double-click on "PAReviewExporter.exe",

* If Windows asks you to confirm the execution, say yes,

* All the files will be downloaded in "<your_windows_download_directory>/PA_REVIEWS".

Please bear in mind that the data fetch speed depends on your internet connection.

The program is for Windows only (sorry Mac fans) and only takes ~400 kb.

Feel free to write a post in this thread if you encounter an issue or want to suggest a helpful improvement. Any pertinent comment is welcomed. Smile

PS: Special thanks to David (Atavachron), whose Klaus Schulze's reviews helped me to test the robustness of my program to weird characters Big smile.

PPS: I tried to directly upload the zip file in my personal file manager, but for some reason, it didn't work, that's why I had to do the ".jpg" trick.

Great idea and it seems to work fine Thumbs Up I'm just wondering why does it need to get the album's page and not only the review's page. If no important information is needed from that page, it would be considerably faster.

I fully agree.

The only reason the program needs the album page is to retrieve the release year, not displayed on the review page.

BTW, maybe should it be a good idea to display the year on the review page too, like on MMA and JA?

Oh, I didn't notice it doesn't have the year in it. If the other two sites show the year, I think it's a good suggestion.

I was just asking about this a few months ago, and, when nobody answered, not even M@x, I went and manually exported all my reviews.  Thanks for doing this!
