Another pretty good day Henry Cow - Legend (1973) Phlox - Vali (2013) Nektar - Remember the Future (1974) (only side one) Moving Gelatine Plates - World of Genius Hans (1972) Sand - Golem (1974) Robert Wyatt - Rock Bottom (1974) Van Der Graaf Generator - H to He Who Am the Only One (1970) Tangerine Dream - Alpha Cenaturi (1971) The Muffins - Manna/Mirage (1977) I'm particularly blown away by The Muffins. I immidiately fell in love with their style. I have listened to them a while back, but apparently was not mature enough to appreciate their genius. Great, great band. Sand is also a nice suprise after the amount of bad ratings it gets here around PA. I have enjoyed pretty much every album I've listened to today.

The day has not yet come to an end, but it's rather dubious I will listen to anything else today. So, here is my playlist that I've listened to today. The Muffins - Manna/Mirage (1977) Gong - Magick Brother (1969) Hatfield and the North - Hatfield and the North (1973) Caravan - If I Could Do Ot Over Again, I'd Do It Over You (1970) Tangerine Dream - Force Majeure (1979) (although not the whole thing, two tracks I think) Amon Duul II - Phallus Dei (1969) Gilgamesh - Another Fine Tune You've Got Me Into (1978) Zyma - Thoughts (1978) Terry Riley - A Rainbow in Curved Air (1969) Conclusion? I listen to music too much. My head is blowing with music at the moment, as it did yesterday. Both yestarday and today I've listened to nine albums continously.

I've learnt my lesson and have listened to only four (carefully picked, I might add) albums to prevent my head from blowing after listening to ten albums continously yestarday. So, today's picks were: The Muffins - Manna/Mirage (1978) The Muffins - Chronometers (1993) Neu! - Neu! (1970) Henry Cow & Slapp Happy - In Praise Of Learning (1975)

I see you're into The Muffins lately, have you checked out Manna/Mirage? (I mean the band not the album). They've released their first album last year, it contains three members of the Muffins and it is superb! Highly recommended to fans of The Muffins and Canterbury fans in general.

I have heard of them, but I am yet to listen to their material. Being a true Canterbury scene fan, I am definitely guilty of overlooking The Muffins. I basically thought they might be another fusion band with Canterburian flavors. And were I wrong! I absolutely adore their material (especially the albums I've mentioned above). In fact, I probably like them even more, as a Canterbury scene group, than some of Canterbury scene groups like Gilgamesh or even post- Fifth Soft Machine. So, I will have to check out Manna/Mirage, thanks for the heads-up!
