I second Logan's question, but either way for me its Goblin.

I'm going to assume that you mean the bands overall and just used the tracks as examples since you probably would have specified the song names in the poll otherwise. That's not a particular favourite track of mine off Suspiria, whereas I think that is one of Renaissance's best tracks. EDIT: Scratch that last sentence, it is damned good track, so this is what I should have said (the part after but, I mean:

I'm voting for Goblin. I really like the first four albums (including the one under than name Reale Impero Britannico).

Anyone who likes Goblin should check out Fabio Frizzi soundtracks (he has collaborated with them).

I love Goblin but Mother Russia is one of my all time favorites.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Overall. I just picked two tracks that were neither the most well-known nor ones only hardcore fans would know.

I voted for Renaissance but feel guilty. Man, come on!! They are way different bands. Trying to pick between them is like trying to say whether you prefer lobster or ice cream! Or even more to the point, "Ha ha ha! I have your two children! I am going to throw one off a cliff! You can only save one! Which will it be?"  I mean, how the heck am I supposed to decide between these two bands??????  (I always vote in these polls anyway, though. Thanks for letting me vent!)Big smile

They should have lobster flavored ice cream.

Goblin.  Really like the 1st Renaissance album with Jane Relf but could never get into the Annie Haslam lineups.

For awhile there, Goblin was the perfect prog band. Therefore...

Renaissance for me......been listening to them since Prologue and also like the Relf incarnation.
Never got into Goblin and always thought of them as a soundtrack band.....though there are  some tracks I do like.

don't know enough Goblin, though I like most of what I have heard, but Renaissance is one of my all time favourites, and Mother Russia is one of their best tracks
