Man, I can't believe I'm saying this but...

'cause it make my brain work.

I know, I know, most rock music is designed for the exact opposite effect, but if my little grey sponge isn't engaged when I 'listen' to music I find it uncomfortable. Back ground or activity filled music is very different and I suppose that's part of why I listen to other genres.

I don't know a lot about porg, but I can say what I love about prog. Tongue

It's simply music that offers more. More depth. More variation in feeling, even within a single song. A great prog epic is like a movie in sound. It has moments of drama, reflection, surging energy, and a sense of flow to it.
