I just wanted to know your feelings about this fantastic (at least to me) Brazilian band. A subtile blend of neo-prog with brazilian traditional elements and symphonic prog leanings at times. Their violinist, Marcus Viana, is truly mind-blowing (influenced by french romantics such as Debussy and very melodic). There are both female and male vocals (in both cases very pleasant). Highlights include "Pentanal", "Ovniana", "Kian" and many others. This band brought a breath of fresh air on the prog scene and their music is so beautiful that it deserves a thread on this forum, don't you think ?

I'll tell you when I have given a listen to your CD, but now I'm listening to Isis & Osiris. Ayreon rules!
Great shredding is cheddar cheese on a taco (Ron Thal).

Sagrado Coração da Terra are from Belo Horizonte, my  city.

I like very mutch, and i heave 3 CDS: A Leste do Sol, Oeste da Lua, Sagrado Coração da Terra and O Grande Espírito.

All is very good!! Highly recommended! Marcus Viana is one of the bests brazilian compositors.

PS: My Slsk nick is billsac, and i'm brazilian. Brazilian music? Search of me!

Billsac, I discoverd Sagrado thanks to the post you sent about your "favourite prog band" and your comment about my "favourite female vocalist" thread saying that you wanted me to include Falabella as one of the best female vocalists. Currently, I do not own any Sagrado CDs just mp3 but if you could tell me where to purchase Sagrado's records from the web I would be really grateful to you. Thanks in advance, billsac !

lucas,

You can buy Sagrado Coração Da Terra's CDs via http://dusty.gemm.com/ and http://somlivre.globo.com/

I have bought CDs and DVDs from Brazil using both the above Web sites and they are good stores. If you have trouble understanding the Portuguese on the Somlivre site then you can send an e-mail in English to [email protected] and they have people who speak English and will be able to help you.

Somlivre is a big music publisher and retailer in Brazil, so it's a reputable outfit.

And please post a comprehensive revue of the CD(s), as I want to know whether a Sagrado Coração Da Terra CD is really worth buying! Boa sorte (Bonne chance).

billsac,

Por favor, você pode me dizer um pouco mais sobre os três CDs de Sagrado Coração Da Terra que você tem? Qual é o melhor deles em sua opinião?

E o estilo musical do grupo? É mesmo parecido com PFM ou outros grupos italianos de rock progressivo?
