I went through all five pages and didn't see Flying Island mentioned.
They were a jazz fusion band active in the mid seventies putting out two LPs:
Self titled in 1975
Another Kind Of Space in 1976

HOLDERLIN -"TRAUM" (1972)

Holderlin - Traum (Dream) Early '70's German Prog-folk, but also a bit dark psychedelic - with organ/mellotron, violin, cello, flute...

Hasn't anyone mentioned Anderson Ponty Band yet?

Their first CD is pleasant, but hardly ground-breaking.  (I was a Kickstarter contributor).

A super lp!! I also recommend Broselmaschine  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K1kPsDgeQ8
and also Emtidi 'Saat' lps  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3QAffk8qD8

Both excellent examples of Germanic acid-folk, quirky, a bit 'out there' but absolute Jewels..

Fred Frith's work with Art Bears stands out to me. Also Chris Karrer's stuff with Amon Duul 2.

Kinda joking with this one, but the album this song came from and Ocean Avenue are staples to my summer playlist.  Their violinist is solid.

^ I used to spin my CD copy of Ocean Avenue a lot, some years ago. It still sounded great when I revisited it some months ago Thumbs Up
