The United Nations Refugee Agency reported last week there were 72
per cent men, 13 per cent women, and just 15 per cent children making
the trip to Europe. This was out of a total of 381,412 people,
meaning that 274,616 of those making the trip were men, with just 49,583
women, and 57,211 children. Eurostat report showed 75% of migrants are male, 80% under 35 years old. Of the migrants living in the tent city in Dresden, for instance (erected over a bulldozed city park, btw), 79.3-per-cent are men, 12.4-per-cent are women, and 8.3-per-cent are children. Eurostat reports only 1/5 migrants are from Syria - i.e. most are not refugees. The UN numbers are intentionally misleading (as mentioned above), they only give demographics for people accepted for asylum (which are 54% Syrians).Top 5 nationalities crossing Mediterranean into Europe German authorities report that most asylum seekers claim to be from Syria, but many of those are not. Same with Greece and Serbia. Harder to find specific welfare & govt assistance statistics because leftist governments would rather keep it hushed up, but here are some from the Netherlands by country of origin. In Sweden the 15.1% made up by immigrants make up 60.5% of the entire welfare costs for the nation, according to statistics published by The Swedish Social Insurance Agency and The National Board of Health and Welfare (sorry lost the link, should be google-able) Migrants leave Denmark in favour of Sweden, because the former "doesn't give them enough benefits" (2) Migrants consider Austria and Hungary unsuitable because they don't get free food, education, and houses like in Germany Many migrants drawn by welfare in Northern Europe After 10 years, only 60% of immigrants to Sweden are employed. The corresponding figure for native-born Swedes is 85%. Edited by Triceratopsoil - September 23 2015 at 16:26 |

You may say they're not immigrants but they're at least mostly a direct, evidently positive, consequence of immigrants, your opinion is comparable to getting bags of money smacked into your face before you get to take them home, and you quit because you don't want your face to hurt.

In the way that according to the numbers, they very likely do more work than they demand in income from the state, even compared to the average inhabitant, besides the fact that cultural diversity is simply fun and the fact that we have used our wealth to actually improve the world beyond our own borders by helping those who are less fortunate, which satisfies our moral.

"Cultural diversity" doesn't exist with mass immigration. Cultural diversity exists with Nationalism, to be witnessed with travel. Mass immigration destroys cultures in favour of a bland melting pot. Oh, but we get ethnic food so that's ok.

Well a culture is never pure, it's just a collection of jokes characterizing people from the same social and natural environments, so no egg yolks are being torn open, it's really just one basic drink mixing with another.

The black man with his raised closed hand has nothing to do with fascism; this sign relates to the Afro-American struggle during the 1960s and indicates solidarity of movement, not a Hitler salute or a satire of one. In fact the photo may be completely misleading, as it appears the man is saluting the soldiers in support. Either way, you're applying Euro-trash politics to the US-- doesn't work. A number of points: young men are probably the most mobile, therefore the most likely to try and immigrate beyond the borders of the countries they are fleeing (trying the same trip with small children is very much more difficult). I haven't seen the figures myself, but it is not surprising if most of the migrants are male and under 35%. Also not surprising that many of them are economic refugees as well as political ones. I seem to recall that many people emigrated from Europe to America and Canada for precisely those reasons. As for dependence on welfare, the figures you cite are short term and are usually the support required to set migrants up in housing, job and language training, etc. The vast majority of migrants do not want to move to places where they can live on welfare (which if you have ever tried it ain't much of a life at all - I speak as someone whose family subsisted on welfare for a period when I was young) but rather where they can attain better lives. To imply that immigrants mostly want to come and "live off" the system is certainly xenophobic. Most importantly, western countries are willing to take migrants in (except for the southern European countries, which are being flooded by economic migrants at the moment - and economic migrants can be just as desperate as political ones, not to mention that economic immigration has been SOP for many centuries now). They are not taking in those migrants purely from altruism, but because they recognize that immigration has benefits for the host countries. Cultural diversity, population reinforcement, the migrants' willingness to take jobs that the native inhabitants are reluctant to, etc. Your suggestion that "Mass immigration destroys cultures in favour of a bland melting pot" is belied by the experience of America and Canada, which are populated almost exclusively by mass immigration and are in fact complex societies that no one could call "bland." Your arguments do reveal rather blatant xenophobia. So I'm wondering, how many generations back did your family emigrate to Canada?

10 generations. My Scottish side has been here longer than Canada was a nation.
"Xenophobia" is a leftist canard to shut down discussion. Tribalism is natural behavior that has deep roots in evolutionary psychology; it is only not allowed if you live in a first-world country, apparently |

What impact do you think millions of muslim and catholic imports from 3rd-world nations will have on western values like, for instance, freedom of speech & women's rights?

So economic migration is okay as long as it happened over 200 years ago?

The values that I'm concerned about are those of people who want to live in a "tribal" community composed only of people who look and behave exactly as they look and behave. Freedom of speech isn't worth much if everyone is saying exactly the same thing.

Where did I say that? Fact of the matter is that not all cultures are compatible. Another fact of the matter is that the neocons & globalists don't want any culture to remain, that's why they exclusively push immigration from incompatible nations. Nobody is complaining about immigrants from England, France, or Germany, because they share common values. By contrast, how much Swedish culture do you think there still is in Malmo?
If you can't tell the difference between building a nation, and collecting it's social benefits centuries later, you are beyond help. But I'll leave this thread now, I can tell you are tired of plugging your ears and going lalalala. Peace. Edited by Triceratopsoil - September 23 2015 at 19:12 |
