I was under the impression (from frequenting this website) that prog rock is a religion and we were already arguing about it.

Paganism is the most underrated religion imo. Which one is the most overrated? Satanism? Satan is surely not the worst you can believe in but that's beside the point. I even tend to overrate him a little myself.

Yes, considering the theme of this thread is simply a modification of the Floyd v. Yes v. Genesis v. King Crimson eternal prog poll cliché, arguing about religion, itself a shibboleth of infinite proportions, has already been established.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

^I'm sure you'd tried to get your point across using similar strategies (hopefully with greater success. My intentions was far from wanting to discuss politics)

I have read the thread, so mine was largely a rhetorical question.

Such personal offense taken by who I consider hyper-sensitive individuals. I'm certain that no one wished this thread to devolve into childish name-calling.

Seems straightforward to me: of these classics, which is less a cornerstone of the prog rock pantheon--if any--and argue the point. But perhaps old-fashioned debate without personal attacks is more than one can expect, even from the intelligence I routinely encounter on this site.

I picked DSOTM because I find most of what follows Time less than stellar, and "Any Colour You Like" meandering filler.

Of course you haven't got the same experience that I have - still your knowledge and experience are basically the two things you got to rate the value of any art. You can't seek so-called objectivity in other ways. Well, obviously you can by simply copy&paste historical facts and general consensus but then your opinion isn't really yours and has no personal value=irrelevant. There's no point joining a discussion if you're just a copy machine and if you don't have something resembling an opinion there's certainly no point responding to you. There's simply less fun if "I'm right and the rest of you are wrong" isn't allowed.

Your (mine or svetonios) opinion of communism or other perfect tools for tyrants isn't the point. I used it as examples for believing and claiming that you are right (while others are wrong) is ok - in any given context. A lot of my opponents here says this is arrogant and that its basically the same as calling everyone who disagrees with you idiots. I think they are the extreme ones - not me. But we'll never agree. So instead of having a jolly good time bickering about which one of these progclassics is the most overrated and why, we have ourselves yet another metadiscussion.

Oh, that made sense.

Now, of course, if you go to the point of saying that a madman dictator is wrong at killing everyone who doesn't fit his idea the right race, of course I agree with you, anyone doing massacres will be wrong and on that one there's no way to convince me otherwise. As for communists... I don't really think that either communists nor capitalists are entirely wrong, I rather think that it's the people that lead such ideologies, the people at the government, who are wrong when they abuse them and take advantage of their position for their own benefit.
Communism is overrated. I can see to a certain extent why it made sense among some westerners in the 1940's and possibly up to the 1970's but people should seriously know better in 2015. Believing that you are right should obviously be based on experience and knowledge. My experience and knowledge is what I trust whether it regards Aquarium, You're Under Arrest or madman dictators. They all suck in various degrees and anyone who disagrees with me are dead wrong.

Well, perhaps I don't have the same experience you have, nor have I studied much about comunism or socialism, however I believe the great problem of those systems is that they give too much power to the government... they are suposed to be the ones to distribute the wealth more equaly, but in the end they control too much of the life of the people, and who's to say that they will really distribute the wealth equally?

How is "No Reply At All" disco? It's not funk-influenced.

You certainly have a point, but on the other hand I would hardly call the folks on this site a representative sample that would provide a balanced result.
