Ticket are an interesting NZ band that had their 1st album re-released a few years ago here in Australia on Aztec Records, I only got around to ordering it in recently (suggesting Aztec are good in keeping a backstock of their releases). The re-issue is a thing of beauty and replete with bonus tracks and really interesting info about the band and their life and times - it's a good listen though maybe not overtly/consistently "proggy" (the heavy guitar-based sound of last night's tracks is pretty typical). The band like so many others is long defunct of course.

Based on their Facebook page, Over Unity seem to be on ice at present which is a shame - the EP suggests they could have come up with some pretty interesting music if the band had kept going.

This week, on the first edition of Seasons of Change for Spring, this Saturday night (Australian time), another diverse serving of prog rock and anything else that fits from Australia and around the world, featuring recent music from Sebastian Hardie and classic '70's Aussie prog rock from Fraternity, Tamam Shud and Tully. Nice playlist last week by the way, I had to wake up early so I had the chance to listen to all of it

With a weather forecast predicting very hot weather for Adelaide and the state of South Australia this weekend, tonight there is predominantly cool, if not mellow, music on offer instead on Seasons Of Change, including classic music from Australian groups Blackfeather and Rainbow Theatre, and from kiwi psych band Ticket. And with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra repeating their successful "ASO Plays Led Zeppelin" concerts this weekend, we revisit the fondly remembered "ASO Plays Pink Floyd" concerts from 2006.
