Mmmm... Caravan, Crimson, Hiromi, Amon Duul II, Godspeed, Schulze, Eloy, Cardiacs, Banco, Opeth, and Magma are all excellent, though this really puts into perspective how out of its element Pale Communion is. Will vote later.

Lark's Tongues in Aspic. In Absentia is a good album too.

I know that Nursery Cryme is a good album, but I am amazed that it is the 5th best symphonic prog album. I know this is a matter of personal taste, but it's not even in my top 5 Genesis albums.

Very true.

But i ended up going with Caravan, simply because i've been in the mood lately for more "light" music.

In Absentia, Skinny Fists, Larks and such are fantastic albums - but If I Could..'s charm and playfulness has had be enamored recently. As does many other Canterbury masterpieces.

Good call.  That's the best Caravan.

Tough choice: LTIA, In Absentia, Clutching at Straws, and Nursery Cryme are all great choices. Went with LTIA...

Nearly went for Phideaux's Doomsday Afternoon, but in the end I had to choose Nursery Cryme.

Could have picked Queensryche or Eloy, but I'll go with PT.

Haven't been too impressed with what I've heard from Caravan, but I'm listening to the wrong albums it seems. Haven't heard those three.
