Too many to choose however in terms of pop even if some might dismiss and snob this track, I love it really and one of these days even Dark Elf, will like this track too and dance the  polonaise with me here Big smile

screams just 'pop' to me and at the time the band saw it as their most 'hip' song.

Duke on the other hand is full of pop prog , almost the whole album and its well delivered. They along with Supertramp mastered the art of this and at almost the same time (imo)

Probably already mentioned, but Genesis' Follow You Follow Me screams Pop-Prog.
Some early-80's Renaissance tunes, later Grobschnitt, Asia, I even find the odd Buggles tune Pop-Prog. Where classy musicianship and clever arrangements are concerned, there are many interesting results.

I vote for Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' or Tangerine Dream's 'Loved by the Sun'. Although, 'Learning to Fly' and 'Whiter Shade of Pale' are great examples too, imo.

I would happily just accept that as a prog song but I suppose its massive exposure means it's also pop.

When someone says, "Which is the best prog-pop song ever?" I would have to look at songs that were actual hits.

So, I'd say "Living in the Past", because the odd 5/4 time signature is not something I can recall in another hit song.

I'd also add Procol Harum's "Conquistador" (live with the Edmonton Symphony) that was a big hit back in the day.
Dark Elf, I'll nominate another favorite of mine, although they could have shaved their underarms and the vocalist reminds me of the Coyote from Roadrunner, this song is really very good, I like it so very much, the tune always stays in my head, it sounds simple but infact it is not and has orchestration especially violins Hug  more hugs to you Hugdexys midnight runners come on Eileen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc-P8oDuS0Q

Ummm...this is probably the only time in the history of mankind that Dexys Midnight Runners will ever described as "prog". I don't hear it. I don't see it. And the rolled-up bib overalls were tacky looking even in the 80s. The song is catchy, granted. It has violins, granted. It is not prog, however. The Pogues were more prog, and that's even funny for me to say.
Aw you bubu, Disapprove ok maybe not necessary prog (my judgment might be clouded due to liking this track) however listen again more carefully try to imagine anyone trying to remake this song Wink it's more complex than one thinks really Big smile
Big hug to you, sweet grumpy Hug
I honestly like this song hihihi except for the underarm bush Big smile https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc-P8oDuS0Q

The intro of 'West End Girls' by Pet Shop Boys always reminds me of Hawkind circa 'Warrior'.

The outro of ELO's 'Mr Blue Sky' is stunning prog bombast.

From the avant garde end of prog came The Flying Lizards with 'Money'
