now something like that.... that is a good idea in premise. We have had some whopper of polls and threads. It would take a lot of work to go back through, but a 'best of' would be a hell of a lot of fun. There have been some moments of absolute forum insanity here over the years. Crazy topics, even weirder discussions we had some priceless threads.. a lot regarding DT especially. Those were the good old days. Days when like fully HALF the active polls on page 1 were DT related. We did have fun kicking those kids around the forum, but man alive did they bring some life to the forum. my personal favorite was the 14 page argument between two certain pig-headed and strong-willed collaborators over a certain album's release date. Classic... and laid the groundwork for battles yet to come behind the scenes.

Micky, this has been a lot of fun and an interesting view on how the site and the genre has changed over the years. When it started my thought was 'seriously, that's a lot of work to get to another Yes versus Genesis poll.' I'd never have predicted the final four to go down the way that they did.

my god. Tip to any newly married folk out there or need something to spice up your marriage. Buy your wife a Dyson, Raff has had hers about 6 months and she is still muttering how it changed her life and made her a happy woman And mine and made me a happy man... it's been 6 months since she asked me to help with the vacuuming.

That was ... intense ... some time in the middle of the week. For the reasons mentioned before I was rooting for KC, though I have great respect for both bands ... that I grew up with.

I've had 2 Dysons and they were awful. Plasticky, easy to break and poor suction.
It pains me to say it, but I bought a German made Sebo and it's been such an improvement.
And Dyson's marketing bulls**t annoys me intensely.

^ I got rid of all carpets and most rugs and got myself a Roomba. Doubles as a pet; kind of fun to watch sometimes (e.g. trying to drag a CD jewel case across the room).

You should worry. I live with 5 parrots who sh*t (usually in their cages but not always), spread seed, chew everything and spread fluff and feathers everywhere, so a good vacuum is pretty well top of my appliance list along with my turntable. You can see one in my profile - that is Hercules.
