pink Floyd.

I can listen to them any day ..
Although I have a few KC albums and I don't mind them, they're rarely on my radar

i'm not a stoner - and they are a real band.

Pink Floyd running neck and neck with King Crimson, really?

I thought this was a “progressive rock” site?

And as we all know "progressive rock" bands can't possibly sell albums -- a prohibition of album sales being a fundamental commandment in the Prog Koran. There is only one God and Fripp is his guitarist! LOL

For myself, one band is always at least moderately interesting (and sometimes really brilliant), and the other is... errrrr, not (except for when they had a soon-to-go-off-his-rocker singer who left in '68).

With the remarkable rise of Prog Salafism I don't have the guts to post a cartoon of Fripp in this thread Ouch.

Am I sensing the Prog Trinity being postulated here? Fripp the Fripp, Fripp the Guitarist, and Fripp the Soundscape?

I fear not. Especially since mine paints a heroic picture of holy Fripp.

^ It's the work of this guy called DougSide from a few years back. Fripp himself found it and loved it.

Hey! It's a great result at the moment: 50% and 50 votes for each band! Exclamation

I'm hanging back until the last moment on this one as, at the moment, I'm still undecided

Pink Floyd.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

The Floyd.

Easy vote for me, never liked King Crimson.
