It's always enjoyable to revisit this album which was the only one released by this band.

"Lost Mankind" - Satin Whale - 1975 - Germany

This was the second band I discovered when I got into German music in the seventies. 
Desert Places was their first album (1974) and is just as good.
They feature heavy guitar and organ which was what first attracted me to German bands.
The occasional flute solo adds a nice touch.

I just put on the self titled first album by Tempest from 1973.
It features Allan Holdsworth sometimes playing hard rock guitar riffs and other times playing the smooth and flowing fast riffs that he is known for.
