This band really needs to be listened to with complete concentration. As flaky as Mike Scheidt's syncretic esoteric religious lyrics and overambitious as the lengthy songs mixing influences from all over the place might be, he manages to pull it off as a songwriter. I need to really listen to their other albums, but this is one of those psychedelic doom records that are genuinely mind-expanding to listen to in the right mindset.
I posted this in the Psych lounge as it on my list of new what to listen to next albums. Sounds like it will be awesome, and perhaps even tiring!

They are also absolutely amazing in the live setting, so do not pass up a chance to experience YOB in concert..

"Garuda" - Release Music Orchestra - 1975 - Germany
Overall this album is more laid back than most of the other LPs in my JRF collection. But I still find it easy to listen to and it is a tad better (to me) than my other RMO album, Get The Ball.

Random Chairs Missing memory - in 1989 when I was in college and got my first
4-track recorder, recording a cover of "Mercy" from that album was the
first thing I did with it. I had to go into the band room at night to
record the drum part - which I did after I had laid down the guitar, and
with no metronome so the beat was all over the place. I wonder if I
still have it, I don't think I ever finished it. That is one psycho
song.
