Durarara!! is getting a second season January actually. So the unattended loose ends plot wise will be looked into.

Though i agree, both shows are fantastic and i gave them both 8s.

yes! after nearly 5 years i was starting to lose hope in actually seeing a second season.

currently watching from this season:

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
Gugure! Kokkuri-san
Amagi Brilliant Park
Akatsuki no Yona

oh, and the second season of psycho-pass. have not seen much comment here about the show (i am probably unobservant, tho'), but it might appeal to some people's tastes in this thread.

no one, yet? god damnit...

It's just you... you... you...

I haven't heard of it before, but maybe I'll take a look at it. What kind of story is it?

that's kind of hard to do, but basically there are these seven people, with their nicknames after each deadly sin (like greed or envy). The Holy Knights are the f**ked up bad guys who f**ked up the current gov. and there begins this holy war in which these deadly sins try to take out all of the knights. the synopsis for the first episode explains WAY much better if you ask me!

Akatsuki no Yona is nice show. Reminds me of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Quality animation and illustrations with sharming characters that jump from being lighthearted to wonderfully sincere.

My favorite character is the priest right now.

I was quite taken with Shinsekai Yori (From the New World), finishing it in just a week (which is really impressive for me, I'm not really one for binge-watching.  It really hit a chord with me.

I ordered the Cowboy Bebop and Akira (25th Anniversary!) blu rays a couple days ago.  I had them both on dvd, but I've been reading that the visuals for both and especially the audio have been improved immensely.

Cool looking sci-fi about collecting space debris.

Great series!  It took me a long time to find that one on DVD.

I've decided to watch Black Lagoon again while I wait for Cowboy Bebop to arrive in the mail.

So, in order to stop spending my whole days in front of the TV (being unemployed brings you to extreme dullness), I plan to go to the movies and watch Marnie, the last Ghibli production.
Any opinion on this one?

big fan of Ghibli but I don't know this one.
I think I lost track of what's new after Ponyo

Haven't heard of Marnie, last Ghibli fil I was aware of was The Wind Rises (still haven't seen it).

Some interesting sounding anime for Spring.

Haven't seen Marnie yet. I did see The Wind Rises recently and it was stunning. It doesn't have the imagination-capturing fantastic elements of Miyazaki's previous films, but it does have some of his best writing. I also want to see Tale of the Princess Kaguya, Takahata's most recent for SG.
