Besides the usual packages you should check out Battlestations if you don't have a dislike against Post-Rock.
Their 29-minute album The Death of the Day is rather dark and desolate (except for the last three minutes).

Under a Cold Embrace is even better, but less dark.

Their music can be listened on bandcamp.

Awww Nogbad_The_Bad, this is a bit unfair really as I was debating and replying to the forum topic, DARK PROG.

So what you are saying is that the thread title should have been either

(1) We need a new genre - Dark Prog
or
(2) Please suggest Dark Prog music (!!NOT A GENRE DISCUSSION!!)

Just so it was clear that this wasn't a request for a new genre?

You are debating in an empty room, no-one else is talking genre. I'd suggest you start a new thread so that those of interested in peoples suggestions for dark progressive music can continue the interesting discussion.

NONE.

As a joke, more than anything else, but this is important as a concept. You will NEVER know what "dark" means, until you can not see any light! A blind person does NOT reply on "light" to define "dark"!

You have no perspective to make the comment about "dark" music, and the use of the language is horrific to say the least. It's "imaginary" at best.

Nahhhhh ... you ain't no nincompoop. A "progressive" mind would not be worried about the comments, or his/her music would never have been put together.

Just tells you who the real nincompoops are, that haven't grown up yet!

I'm sorry, but I didn't want to start a thread about what "dark" means. I only wanted to know more music, that's it. I wrote what bands I like to listen just to make clear what type of music I'd like to explore. Most people seem to have understood, I don't see the problem.

Regarding the language, I could say I'm just bad at writing, but again, everyone who replied on this thread seems to understand me. Writing posts is good practice, perhaps in the future I will not sound so "imaginary" when writing/speaking in English.
Peace

Oh, I see. I'm glad it all turned out fine, I was starting to fear that this thread could turn into a flame war.
