I'm guessing this thread will get moved to top ten lists so

1. Dance On A Volcano
2. Duke's Travels/End
3. Mad Man Moon
4. Deep In The Motherlode
5. One For The Vine
6. Dodo/Lurker
7. Domino
8. Home By The Sea
9. Fading Lights
10.The Lady Lies

Good list. I would add the Brazilian, Duchess, second home by the sea, Burning rope, Domino(one and two), driving the last spike, Congo, Man on the corner, unquiet slumbers for the sleepers, Afterglow, snowbound, silver rainbow and Entangled. Maybe a few more that I can't think of right now.

Thanks
Another is Keep It Dark and that was close to my top ten as was The Brazilian that you did mention but I stuck with just ten. BTW Domino is on my listWink

Just on the Archive set as far as I know although it might be on the USA release of Three Sides Live which has now been reissued for all.

There is a live version of Deep in the Motherlode on the "Genesis Archive #2: 1976–1992" box set from May 5, 1980.

Is the mention of We Can't Dance now a derogatory insult?

Hmmm....hard for me to really say since I don't own anything after Wind but from what I have heard at my brother's and friend's houses...and on the radio, etc.
After Gabriel and Hackett left I lost interest.

its not the worst thing they did although the self conscious 'humour' of the video gets a very high cringe rating.

Ignore the Rednight comments, he's just trying to stir up derision as he seems to be a quite an unhappy person. Better him than us, is my moto.

A run-on sentence. And spell motto. Naw, I'm not unhappy - just tellin' it like it is and keepin' it real. As for derision? No, I find happiness and positiveness in all blogs posted and/or aimed in my direction. As a matter of fact, I'd love to meet every contributor whose opinion counts.

Given your constant negative remarks and banter on every responding post, the amount of contributors you would like to meet would amount to zero.

As I said before RN, don't worry. Life doesn't last forever.

I can actually tolerate those two (the former more than the latter). On the other hand, 'Dance is such an unmitigated train wreck (I do occasionally put on Hold On My Heart if I'm interested in a catnap).

Fading Lights is the best and most prog track on We can dance imo. I don't see how anyone can forget that one.

Hi,

I enjoyed many things in "Dancing on a Volcano" ... but after that it was over for me ... I actually did not enjoy a whole lot of the Phil Collings version of the group, even though there always was one piece that was nice.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
