Why doesn't this thread have its own Roman numeral number? We should have shred superbowls.

But really I enjoy smarty's music even if I am the polar opposite when it comes to our methods of making music.

In the wake of last week's emergency room episode, my daughter was put on a strong dose of antibiotics to fight what looked like the onset of a respiratory infection.  Anti-biotic.  Against.  So now she's having upset stomach and nausea problems, and I call the nurse for advice, and she recommends some probiotics to help offset the side effects of the antibiotics.  Pro-biotic = For, Antibiotic = against.   Reminds me of that joke where a guy puts a humidifier and a dehumidifier in the same room and lets them fight it out.

I did, in fact, lol.

Yikes!  @Luna's post, not Steve's tale of family health issues.  LOL

Sorry to hear it.

Reminds me of that Louis C.K. joke: "Take 10 Aleve a day."

I kind of doubt she needed antibiotics in the first place, but I guess they were being very cautious.  In any event, it's annoying that any Rx of antibiotics is always for 10 days, meaning you're still taking them long after you've gotten better and forgotten why you were taking them in the first place.  But that's evidence-based health care protocol for you.

With all of the bad sh*t going around these days it probably was best to be extra cautious with the anti-biotics.

Yeah, they noticed a little greenish discharge from her nose, which is evidence of possible bacterial respiratory infection.  The dosage they prescribed was strangely high, too, which I thought was strange but oh well.
