I have a bad feeling this week is going to be horrible.  One last attempt at reconciling our dispute at work, which I don't expect to go well, and then my wife finds out if she's keeping her job or not.
I know the feeling, not the wife and job thing, but the dispute(s) at work thing.

We (the four of us that works in our department) are having a meeting tomorrow, the kind of meeting we're supposed to have every other week or so, but that we haven't had since the start of the new kindergarden year in August.

I suspect it won't be pretty, as I don't think any of us are enjoying work atm, but no-one has adressed the issue, or rather issues, yet (I suspect the one who has to do it is me), and our department leader doesn't have the guts to deal with the issue(s) either, I think.

So, yeah, I'm not having the best of days at work of late either, to put it mildly, too much bickering and negative feedbacks, and no positive feedback whatever one does. Really tiresome and perhaps the main reason why I've been feeling depressed of late.

Once people get used to the star-rating system for threads, there will be all sorts of new opportunities for butthurt bickering and personal vendettas.  It just might revive this place.

We've been in a dispute over fair and reasonable reimbursement rates for our doctors, and our contract has an arbitration clause, so it's basically been a very long and draining legal process.  The arbitration hearing itself is at the end of this month, but it's been almost a year and a half since negotiations started.  I'm the numbers guy on our side, so my work product is under a lot of scrutiny.

But I'm mainly worried right now about what to do if my wife loses her job.  Wish they'd just get it over with and tell her.

Maybe she will be promoted to on-air personality.  Good luck.

I'm kind of glad the JFF is out of the "latest posts" thing.  All it would do is draw attention from people who probably find it pointless and distracting.

Ah yes, the coveted "Ask an Assistant Art Director" segment.

Matt, "Fuel to Fire" from Agnes Obel was free eMusic download yesterday.  How is that album?  The song is good.  I like her voice.
