Hi everyone!

My name's Lancelot, and I play the drums in a France-based prog-psych rock band (with a little touch of space rock on the top of it) called JukeWe're already on the archives, but it would be nice to get a review of our first EP !

JUKE is an English-singing band from Tours/France, created in 2011, born out of the passion that four guys had for the 70's music. Composed of Kévin Toussaint (vocals, guitar), Lancelot Carré (drums & percussion), Quentin Rousseau (keyboards & fx), and Théo Ladouce (bass). The band is inspired by the great music of Pink Floyd, the Doors, King Crimson, Gong, plus more recent bands like Radiohead and Tame Impala, though the four members have their own distinctive vision of the actual progressive and especially psychedelic rock music.

Quickly, JUKE become an entity comprising four true personalities. Concept songs, an enchanting universe that is truly theirs: this is a subtle mix of bewitching soundscapes, hypnotics rhythms and penetrating guitar solos that you're being offered. In 2012, they released 'Atom Experiment', their first EP where they are taking you in an altered space of mind. The band is already distinguishing itself by including the twenty-eight minutes musical piece 'Black Magic', which asserts itself as a lead track.

You can hear the whole EP on bandcamp or soundcloud :)

Have a psychedelic day !

Thank you,

Juke.

Not sure how a 48 minute disc qualifies as only an EP, but hey, its your music!
Tongue
Liked it, by the way.

Ahah to be honest we struggled whether to define it as an EP or an album, but finally decided that with four tracks, it could be an EP, a big one ! :)

Sounds very promising, soon I'll give it a proper listen.
Thanks!
Some men are hunting hawks, some men are busy bees,
some louder than a storm, others silent as the trees,
but we're all dressed up as one, noone stands out in the crowd,
We're strangers in this town.
