Passion: Music for The Last Temptation of Christ by Peter Gabriel.

to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

I also would vote Passion, if it were an option.

Hi,

Wow ... no Vangelis?

Goblin did at least 5 soundtracks

Vangelis has at least 5 of those also

Riuichi Sakamoto has so many soundtracks (and an Oscar!) as well.

David Byrne has many soundtracks (and an Oscar) as well

And yes, the music in "Passion" is excellent!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

The Killing Fields is fantastic and should've won the Academy Award for best score!!

Vangelis also has an Oscar - for Chariots of Fire. I just watched Death Wish for the first time last weekend and so have to vote for Herbie Hancock's groovy tunes for it.

Vangelis is "prog related" only on PA. There's nothing I can disagree more.
In the list, the hugest report between the quality of the music and that of the movie is "More".
Suspiria was quite a good splatter-horror and I haven't seen the movie but Sorcerer is a great album.

My vote goes to Cirrus Minor,Cymbaline and Green is The Colour

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

I'd go for Obscured by Clouds rather than More. From the list, it's got to be Oldfield, which should have won the Oscar for sure. Why it was never nominated baffles me.

Like Hercules, I'd go for Obscured by Clouds. I choose Tangerine Dream here.

I voted Birdy but wasn't paying enough attention, thought I was voting for The Passion ...  Oh well, would've voted for Floyd if I hadn't had a brain cramp.

Of these choices, Sorcerer. I also own and enjoy Goblin's classic Suspiria score and Herbie Hancock's excellent moodsetting music for Death Wish.

I more prefer 'Nosferatu' soundtrack from Popol Vuh.

And where are Art Zoyd's numerous soundtracks for 20's expressionist movies?

I only have More and Aguirre. One is a really good album and the other is simply f$%king excellent.

This was my intro into TD  way back in the day.
