I actually really like The Missing Piece but it's no match for The Crimsons.

Odd choice of albums, since Islands was released in 1971, while World Record and The Missing Piece were released in 76 and 77, respectively. If you wanted King Crimson to win your poll by a landslide, I suppose this is the way to go about it, without being so forward as to use an album like ItCotCK or LTiA.

All three are amongst the least regarded albums of those three acts. Personally I think each only has one standout track: "Memories Of Old Days," "Sailor's Tale" and "Meurglys III" respectively.

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

I'm a KC fan so Islands for me,  though I do like VDGG's World Record.....and Piece is a very mediocre LP by GG.

very one sided poll.  "Islands" is the last KC album with mellow pastoral tracks to speak of.  Uneven and flawed in an endearing way.  Easily my choice

Islands is my favourite KC album and obviously on top of these three,

Both World Record and The Missing Piece are kneefalls for their respective bands although these albums are still good (both 3.5/5 imho).

Sorry guys but I have to go with Van Der Graaf here. World Record is sublime and Hammill is back with mellower vocals (Wondering) reminding of his early works like The Least We Can Do...
