Welcome, and thanks for the interesting notes.

In my mind, all the above are movements rather than sub-genres but this is of little interest to the wider prog community.

And yes, some of them are "factitious" as you call them or rather "conventions" to attempt and "categorise" the movements, so that if person X likes the style of band Y, then maybe he can find other bands under the same movement. Of course, none of the "sub-genres" are in isolation, but we are trying for the best fit.

And of course, every help in spotting errors and omissions is more than welcome
