Everything I've heard from these three has indeed been brilliant. On the other hand, I have not heard everything. Rush I would also include being a huge fan. Even their debut album is a solid rocker. Led Zeppelin too. Iron Maiden comes close for me. I don't really like Fear of the Dark, but every other album is good to fantastic. |

You may be right with Anglagard. They are an example of my favorite type of band. They only release quality material no matter how long it takes. Mr Bungle was the same. Can't think of any others at the moment

Not a band but, I haven't listened to a Robert Wyatt album that I didn't like - yet!

The Beatles, Beardfish, The Mars Volta, and King Crimson are some bands that quickly come to mind.

^ I was thinking about mentioning Steely Dan (was just listening to them). Not only do they not have a bad album in the bunch, they don't even have a bad song in the bunch! ... Really!

I'm gonna add Vanden Plas to my list as well cause the last 12 years they've been unbelievably excellent, and their latest album 'Chronicles Of The Immortals pt 1' is really their best work yet and they even took a slightly different direction with their transitions and melody constructions in their songs overall.
This is a band that has released 5 amazing albums in a row. They are on to something. :) I hope many will enjoy their latest effort as much as I have so far. I feel you can do know wrong giving your ears a taste o quality German Prog metal. |

Everon and Enchant comes to mind. Can't think of a weak album from either of these fine bands. Also (although they have delved away from the prog sounds in their latest releases) Nightwish is another addition. And finally, even though they only have two (perfect) albums: It Bites.

I agree with you about Mr. Bungle and Fantomas. I will also throw in Moonchild Trio, being Mike Patton on vocals, Trevor Dunn on bass (1/3rd Bungle right there!)and Joey Baron on drums, playing the music of John Zorn. I've only heard one Secret Chiefs disc, so don't know them well enough. |

I don't have any bands that I feel could do no wrong. Almost every band, even bands that get awfully close for me... Genesis, Floyd, Crimson, Zappa, Yes, Zeppelin... have all produced things that didn't appeal to me from time to time. That said, being a drummer myself, there are drummers that I love everything they ever played and they;ve inspired me. Bill Bruford from Yes, Crimson, Bruford, Earthworks...Tony Williams from Miles Davis, Lifetime, New Lifetime, VSOP, TW Quintet ...Terry Bozzio from Group 87, Zappa, Missing Persons, Bozzio/ Levin/ Stevens, Jeff Beck Group, Polytown, etc.... Simon Phillips from Protocol, Townsend, The Who, Toto, Protocol II...Jack DeJohnette from Miles Davis, Compost, Keith Jarrett, Directions, New Directions, etc. |

The Beatles and Iron Maiden. If it weren't for Calling All Stations, Genesis would have been a flawless band.
