PIERROT LUNAIRE - "Gudrun"

Operatic vocals kind of a turn off, but otherwise this is the weird kind of Italian stuff that brings me joy.

The Japanese Black Sabbath, right down to being as quintessentially Japanese as Black Sabbath are quintessentially British. Not only is it clear from the songwriting that they're coming from a different music tradition's background than the one that produced blues and rock, in atmosphere it also represents a take on dark and disturbing psychedelia that's completely removed from Judaeo-Christian-Islamic notions of good and evil.
