I'm a real PF fan, as you can see.
I like very much Animals, Wish, Wall but for the impact and for the recording, DARK SIDE got my choice.
You can't argue that it has a perfect mix of: sound, quality atmosphere (Wish was egual in that), general agreements, concept.
Us & Them, Brain damage, Gig, Breathe,... all good songs that it's fun to listen to again and again.
The SACD version is so good...

I'm hugely surprised about the very bad result of The Division Bell, because I like very very much this album, one of my favourites. Maybe some people simply forgot its existance.

I think DSotM, WYWH, and Animals are the only possible answers to this question.

Indeed, Division Bell is among my very favourite Floyd albums too, but in all honesty I couldn't vote for it above WYWH or Animals. DB might just as well be my third favourite album, even over Dark Side, which is no small thing.

It's because one single vote is allowed. Division may be the second choice of a lot of people, but we count only the first.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Yeah, I was thinking about something around those lines, but didn't come up to write it. But yes, having albums like Dark Side, WYWH, and Animals, it is difficult for someone to vote for DB. Still, if for example I like it more than Dark Side, it wouldn't be so out of place for someone else to like it better than the other albums too. Plus, there are many albums I would consider weaker than DB that have many more votes here

No, I don't think so, DB isn't the worst rated Pink Floyd album on PA. Though I might need to analise the data with more care.

I actually have to go with Meddle. It's pleasant and lovely, even sublime at times. They get a bit cold after that, and too amateurish/inadequate before it.

I am suprised Dark Side isn't a runaway given it's long time status as top seller.
Close 2nd for me but will go with Wish you were here

Something has to be bottom of the heap. Better that it's the one furthest in time from their 70s peak.

Meddle for me. Flawless album; I even like tracks like "San Tropez" and "Seamus" (I actually love the latter; that dog has a lot of musical feeling).
After "Wish You Were Here" Pink Floyd lost their touch; even "Animals" sounds hollow to me.

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn is an inimitable album with magical atmosphere. All another albums doesn't has this divine spirit. Imo.
