Oh - forgot about Scorpions - I have their first 2 albums on vinyl, then the next few on cassette. The debut 'Lonesome Crow' came out as a re-issue in the 80's with a Rodney Matthews artwork (fetching like Roger Dean) in both pic-disc and regular sleeve. This also happened to Eloy's early 80's albums (Planets, Time To Turn and Metromania). They botched the Time To Turn release by substituting an album track with a piece off 'Colours'....? Why they did this is a mystery......

I have several Scorps on cassette too..I have Blackout on 8-track tape also. The only 1st Scorps album I have is the German issue on Brain Records titled Action. With the jeep vehicle half buried in sand.....I have seen the Lonesome Crow cover with the scorpion and hand at used stores, but all have been very bad condition.
All my Scorps albums are either German issues and most are Japanese issues on RCA label. Purchased here in US as "imports" from Tower Records, paid more due to this and the X rated covers.

Tower Records used to have the largest import section....It was amazing!

In the 80's and at the beginning of the 90's, I also bought about 50 cassettes (Scorpions, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Trust, ...). Smile

Just came in the mail!
Includes a CD of the album, which is well done, no evidence of the loudness war. Did a quick A/B and the vinyl version is super nice....Well done job mixing and mastering.

The Beard are back with this one for sure!

^SUPER, Jose !! How nice is this one......!!
Beautiful item on LP. 'Inside Out' release some outstanding vinyl. Also like what 'Plane Groovy' are releasing too. Quite a few respectable labels out there to keep the joy alive and well.

Tom it really is a fantastic release, I enjoyed Side I&II last night, the sound quality is amazing. What I also loved about this vinyl is after I shut down the rig, I realized it was essentially surface noise free. My listening distance is rather far about 4m sits my sofa so I tend to crank the volume a bit...no noise only music.

I do hear that Plane Groovy is doing well also.....good stuff!

It's always about the music - none of us buy vinyl LP's for the sake of buying vinyl LP's (duh), but such great music deserves this wonderful format. A vinyl release of an 'Oasis' album, for example, doesn't mean much to me, but it is very nice to see it available in the format.
Just listened to Yes - 'Fly From Here' and it sounds so full and clean, just really does give CD's a run for their money.

I am not sure how many times in this hobby have I purchased the vinyl version of something I have on digital/CD, only to find I do enjoy the release on vinyl more....You almost cannot explain that phenomenon, but it does happen.

I have no desire to buy Fly From Here on vinyl as I don't listen to the digital version at all I have.....but now I might Tom.

My wife got me this box set for my birthday the other day, she is the best!!!!

These are all remastered, 180g in a nice box set. EC Was Here is amazing!! The remaster just brings the live show into my room, the acoustics the vocals the kick drum the bass all sound amazing. There is so much air around the instruments you can place them on stage....They really did a fantastic job on that one, have not spun the others yet, I am stuck on this one for now. This vinyl really showcases the warm, realistic sound of a live performance on vinyl.

Here is pic of the box set, sticker said Made in Czech Republic, vinyl pressing is pristine, so makes sense.

Highly recommended if you are Clapton fan as I have been for many, many years....Seen him twice in concert.

^ O.K. - I never got into Clapton, though back in the day my friend at the time had the Ocean Boulevard album. I preferred Cream to Clapton solo. Still, great set there.
I can't stress enough - 'Fly From Here' is not as bad as many die-hards paint it to be. I really did 'crank it up' and it sounded bleedin' MARVELLOUS.
Back in the mid-90's, I bought several Gentle Giant CD's (because I had just got into them and their LP's were already hard to come across. Eventually when I did, I cashed in the CD's !! I still enjoy all my GG LP's to this day.
