Hipgnosis had a lot more covers that seemingly did not help explain the music, but they still had a nice touch to it. But it always had a "comment".

 

For me:

Quatermass -- it may look pre-historic, even now, but man, is that ever a great album! AND cover! One of the first albums I bought because of that cover. It was awesome!

 

Capability Brown -- Voice. Still one of my favorite albums of all time and that cover and inside opposite satire is excellent. And the album is just as good!

 

Edgar Broughton Band -- Meat Cover album (I think that is EBB named album). I never understood this cover until I heard their anti-VietNam song. I kept thinking this had a connection to the famous Beatles cover that was never used, and perhaps a satire on it, but it was much more serious that that.

 

10CC -- Sheet Music. Awesome cover pulling the sheet into the mirror.

 

Caravan -- Cunning Stunts. We can not state here the reverse title that is funny as heck, on this one, but that cover is nuts and a lot of fun to look at!

 

Flash -- First album. Guess why I got it. Still have that picture in my wall. And still think that the model was none other than Sherry that posts here. Regardless, the comparison of the two is still a valid description for that album. Her time and efforts are 2nd to none. The picture itself, might be considered a bit sexist, but in the end, I find it artistic, unless we want to call the music exploiting the whole thing, which I do not believe is the case. I find the music on par with the attraction in that album.

 

And then there are other covers that are ... different. Of all the YES covers, the only one that I really love and have the poster in my wall is Tales From Topographic Oceans. I liked Close to the Edge, but that art work was not as nice for me inside my head as the one from TFTO was, which was more intelligent and meaningful for me.

 

Of the other RD covers, the ones that never "matched" for me, were the ones for Budgie. I never made a connection to the music itself.

Osibisa, believe it or not I have not heard that I am aware of.

 

Babe Ruth -- First Base. Still love that album and I enjoyed seeing them at the Whiskey a Go Go with Iggy and the Stooges. It was this album that got me to go get the 1st Frank Zappa album, though I had heard his stuff before. Chunga's Revenge!

 

Btw, when you look at Everquest, and World of Warcraft, they ripped Roger Dean left and right. I can only hope that he got a nickel out of it. And jerk Cameron ripped him off even more!
